Importing Old Data Into 2002, 2003, Version 6 and Later VersionsThis page describes the process of getting 1999 or earlier data into the latest versions of HorseTrak. Please read the following instructions thoroughly and follow all warnings.BACKUP YOUR DATA BEFORE PROCEEDING!!! Failure to do so may result in total data loss!1) Download and install HorseTrak Gold 1.5 from: http://www.horsetrak.com/SecurePrograms/htgdemo.exeThe program will be in "demo" and this is OK, you do not need to activate Gold 1.5 to accomplish the following steps. 2) Go into HorseTrak Gold 1.5, and from the main screen, click the "Utilities" button. 3) From the Utilities window, click the button on the left under "Import Options" for the version of HorseTrak you were using. If you were already using HorseTrak Gold, then instead restore you data using the "Backup-Restore" utility installed with HorseTrak Gold 1.5 on your windows start menu. 4) After your data is imported in to HorseTrak Gold 1.5, check it out and see that it looks ok. If the data is OK, then exit the Gold 1.5 program. 5) Go into your new HorseTrak Program 6) Go into "My Preferences" and select the "Repair/Import Old Data" tab 7) Click on the "Import From HorseTrak Gold 1.5" button. 8) Select the HorseTrak Gold 1.5 folder (Usually "C:\HTGOLD" without the quotes) 9) Click the "OK" button and let the import happen 10) Check out your data in the new program. After you have used the new program for a while and are confident that all your data is there, you can remove Gold 1.5 and the any other old HorseTrak Programs you may have.
